Corey Van Dickerson Sr. is a revolutionary leader, consultant, and community advocate whose lifeโs work has been defined by resilience, justice, and empowerment. A proud Army veteran, honor student, and member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Corey has transformed personal struggle into a platform for systemic change.
He is the CEO of Cahokia Source, LLC, a trusted news outlet that has uncovered over 14 cases of government corruption, mismanagement, and racial inequities in St. Clair County. His fearless investigative reporting has given voice to those silenced by oppression and has made him a respected figure in grassroots journalism.
As the founder of B.L.A.C. (Brothers Living Above Chains), Corey built a menโs leadership network dedicated to mental liberation, community protection, and generational progress. He also co-leads Credit Work, a financial literacy and credit repair company, helping families access economic opportunities often denied to them.
Corey has shown his commitment to public service through politics, having run a historic write-in campaign for Mayor of Cahokia Heights. His platform consistently addresses flooding, housing injustice, education neglect, corruption, and economic revitalization.
An entrepreneur with vision, Corey has developed multiple digital platforms, from Sick Vision Entertainment to advocacy campaigns, using SEO, media, and technology to amplify community issues. He has also founded Operation U.N.D.O., a movement designed to reverse patterns of minority distribution and systemic neglect.
Coreyโs academic path reflects the same drive as his activism, he is a Political Science major at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC), excelling in courses ranging from Business Law to Biology, Earth Science, and Psychology, all while raising a family of four and managing businesses. His recognition as an honor student underscores his discipline, intellect, and long-term goal of hiring teams lawyers.
Above all, Corey is a father, scholar, and organizer with deep roots in Cahokia Heights, East St. Louis, Washington Park, and beyond. His guiding belief is clear: communities deserve justice, transparency, and leadership that serves the people, not the system.
